Enigma has seen celebrities, politicians, and VIP’s from around the world step on board for a boat hire experience to remember. Most note worthy in recent times his majesty Prince William of England, and Lady Gaga have enjoyed boat hire days on Enigma.

Enigma is a Pama 65 make of boat which is a boat famous for making the most of the space they have. Enigma is a Pilot House design and for a 65 foot boat Enigma has a lot to offer. Enigma resembles what you would usually expect to see in a 75 to 80 foot boat. This is good news for anyone looking at boat hire on Enigma because it means you get the feeling of being on a large luxury motor yacht without paying the high price tag that comes with boat hire on these bigger boats.

Boat hire guests on Enigma always notice the immaculate timber work throughout the boat and the free flowing design which makes boat hire on Enigma perfect for entertaining. When you step on board Enigma for your boat hire event one of the first things you will notice are the beautiful teak timber decks. They are full walk around decks that give guests full access around Enigma. Walk around decks are great for boat hire because it allows guests to make the most of the whole boat. On some boats, while they are being used for boat hire there are restrictions on guests making their way to the front of the boat. Enigma has been designed with access to the bow in mind and walk around decks are wide enough to allow guests on boat hire cruises to make their way to the bow with ease.

The bow on Enigma is a beautiful space and it is where you will find most guests on boat hire events. There is a great day bed which is another feature usually found on bigger boat hire options and on a sunny boat hire day or warm boat hire night the day bed will be filled with guests relaxing with a drink and some food whilst taking in the most of what Sydney Harbour has on offer.

The rear deck of Enigma, otherwise known as the cockpit, has an alfresco dining area that comfortably seats 4 to 6 guests. For smaller boat hire functions this area can be used or formal dining and for larger boat hire functions the space is often used for a bit of informal socialising. If you look forward on Enigma from the cockpit you will notice that the free flowing spaces allow you to see the whole way to the front of the pilot house where the captain drives Enigma on boat hire functions.

Just inside from the cockpit is Enigma’s saloon, which is richly appointed with highly glossed finishes and is fitted out with the latest in audio and visual technology. Plasma screens are available for boat hire for those that want to do any type of presentation. Whether it be a photo slideshow for a special boat hire birthday on Enigma, or a presentation on a corporate boat hire day. A THX surround audio system is available providing crystal clear sound for your boat hire. You are welcome to plug in an iPod or MP3 player with the music you want to hear on your boat hire event.

Forward of the saloon is the galley which is used to prepare some of the best food available on the harbour. For your boat hire to be a success you really need to make sure that the food is memorable. Enigma always has the best caterers available for boat hire and most menus come with an on board chef. If it is a smaller boat hire group there may be chef charges associated with the total cost.

Just as you need great food to make boat hire something special, great wines, spirits, and beers are just as important. Boat hire on Enigma always has premium wines available and drinks packages are always supplied with quality in mind, and wines to match the boat hire menu.

Just forward of the galley is the pilot house or wheel house and this is where the captain drives Enigma during boat hire events. State of the art technology is used on board and guests always find themselves enquiring about the controls and what they do. So long as circumstances permit the captain may allow guests on boat hire functions to have a steer and see what it is like to drive such a beautiful boat.

Just behind the captains chair is a stairwell heading up to the sun deck which has to be the most popular place on board Enigma. Boat hire guests flock to the sundeck to take in the 360 degree panoramic views of the harbour. There is comfy seating and plenty of cover making it a great all weather spot for boat hire guests to enjoy their time on Sydney Harbour. There is also a handy little table allowing those on the sundeck to enjoy their boat hire menu with a birds eye view of Sydney.

To the left of the wheel house is a stairwell leading downstairs. Down stairs you will find the cabins and bathrooms and it is where you will find the best finishings on Enigma. If standard boat hire is not long enough for you then Enigma is available for overnight boat hire for small groups allowing you to spend the night in one of these beautiful guest cabins. When you are considering your boat hire options for smaller to medium sized groups, Enigma really has to be one of the bots on your short list. BYO Charges

  • For BYO beverages; there is a $20 per person surcharge
  • For BYO food; there is a $250  surcharge
BYO surcharge includes crockery, cutlery, glassware, utensils, ice, eskies and waitstaff

Due to Enigma being a licensed vessel, all BYO beverages are to be served by Enigmas waitstaff in accordance with NSW RSA regulations.


  • Maximum four guests
  • 24hr rate for February – November is $8,500
  • 24hr rate for December and January is POA
  • 24hr rate includes onboard breakfast, non-alcoholic beverages, captain and waitstaff, and use of the lily pad and two paddleboards  
  • Three course meal with chef on board is $650 for up to four guests. Enigma menus are also available 
  • Alcoholic beverages is by consumption
  • Enigma has a queen bed in the master bedroom and guests can choose between a double or twin singles for the other room on offer
  • An APA of 20% is required

Additional Fees and Charges

If minimum numbers of guests are not reached then a chef surcharge of $300 applies.

If a consumption bar is taken instead of a bar package a $250 bar staff fee will apply.
