Overview

Radar is one of the Sydney Heritage fleet and is available for harbour cruises in Sydney all year around. She is a boat that oozes character and guests looking for boat hire for larger numbers often put special requests in to use this boat because of the unique look and feel on offer.

With a capacity of up to 200 people for transfers and 150 for harbour cruises, Radar is one of the biggest boats available for boat hire that also allows BYO drinks. There is no alcohol license on board so for BYO is no additional cost. Although there is no alcohol license on board catering is available and food and staff are at very reasonable prices. If you want drinks packages included Radar has a sister ship that is even bigger that does have an alcohol license.

Radar has been used on harbour cruises of all kinds and over the years has been the charter boat of choice for transport to many events on the harbour including Sydney's Bienali held at Cockatoo Island.

Radar has a proud history on sydney harbour and before it was used for boat hire and harbour cruises it was used on a ferry run. Radar was built in 1947 just after world war two and was the first boat on Sydney harbour to get an alcohol license. The alcohol license is gone now but Radar is still in service and s used for harbour cruises several times a week.

Booking Conditions:
1. All jobs are to be charged with the hire time being from the first pickup to the last set down, including loading times.
2. If the job continues after 6pm, it will be charged at the ‘After 6pm’ rate.
3. Quotes will include a further fee of $100/hour when the bar is not utilised on Proclaim and Royale, as prices are given on the basis of a bar take. Excluding the Schools/Seniors weekday rate.
4. An $80 surcharge will be incurred for first pickups or last set downs west beyond, Huntleys point and to the east for pickups from Watsons bay.
5. Bar staff are available on BYO vessels at the rate of $75/hour per person.
6. A Tour Commentator is available at the rate of $75/hour
